Happy Thanksgiving!!!

This is a bit late, but here are some hints for Christmas dinners which will be coming next.

First of all use the holidays as an opportunity indulge a little if you are on your own weight loss journey. Eat a light breakfast before going to dinners and if you are an Advocare user invest in Carb Ease. Take that BEFORE your dinners too. :)

Things I made for our Thanksgiving dinner:

Wheat stuffing-There is a Stove top, wheat brand, it does have a lot of salt though.

Turkey-is good, we can eat turkey! Just use the I Can't Believe Its Not Butter when greasing it up.

Veggies-No salt veggies or frozen veggies. I indulged in making green bean casserole but at least the beans were no salt.

Broccoli casserole-broccoli is good, cheese is an enemy. I was a bit lazy and didn't look for low sodium cheese. Perhaps you can find it. However, you can use wheat crackers and the butter substitute, very low fat milk. My version is pretty simple. Those items and cheese are all I use.

Preacher cookies-those are the no bakes with coconut oil and honey, yum! Google them or look in my earlier blog posts to find recipe.

Mashed potatoes-on Advocare we can eat potatoes so as long as you use No Salt brand salt, the butter mentioned above, low fat milk...oh and mix some low fat sour cream in them, it tastes awesome!

Eat very lightly the day after your meals to get back on track, and enjoy your holidays of food. :)
