Promote weight loss by eating whole grain

Since I am learning all about food for the first time I looked up whole grain verses refined grains. Refined grains is white bread, white rice etc... so what do we look for on packages to find the grain that promotes weight loss? I have included a list below:
Words you may see on packages-what they mean.

whole grain [name of grain]
whole wheat
whole [other grain]
stoneground whole [grain]
brown rice
oats, oatmeal (including old-fashioned oatmeal, instant oatmeal)
wheatberries
These products contain all parts of the grain so by eating them you are getting the maximum amount of nutrients.
